Dr. George P. Spanos is the Vice President and CEO of Domes Resorts, one of the leading lifestyle hospitality groups in the Mediterranean, distinguished by its expertise in high-end experiences and its dynamic growth in Greece and international markets. Born into a family with a strong background in medicine, Dr. Spanos pursued studies in the field himself. However, his family’s involvement in hospitality and the development of luxury properties in Crete since the 1990s proved instrumental in shifting his professional focus towards the sector. Upon assuming an active leadership role in 2008, Dr. Spanos contributed to the transformation of Domes from a family-run business into an internationally recognized brand. Under his leadership, the company has evolved into a sophisticated hospitality group with a diversified portfolio of luxury resorts and lifestyle dining concepts across prime destinations in Greece, Portugal and Spain. Today, the Domes portfolio comprises five distinct brands — Domes Originals, Domes Noruz, Aulūs, Domes Reserves and Domes Finds — alongside co-branded properties developed through strategic partnerships with Marriott International and Hilton Hotels & Resorts. In 2026, Domes entered a new phase of international growth through the acquisition of a majority stake in Casa Collective, the hospitality platform behind the Casa Cook, Cook’s Club and XIA brands. At the same time, Domes continues to invest in distinctive hospitality and gastronomy concepts, including 91 Athens Riviera, The Resort and Michelin-starred Makris Athens, while collaborating with leading institutional investors and real estate partners, including HIP, Brookfield, Grivalia Hospitality, Prodea Investments and Aroundtown. Dr. Spanos continues to lead the Group’s growth strategy with a strong focus on innovation. Domes’ expansion plans include further strengthening its presence across the Mediterranean, Europe and, in the longer term, entering the Americas.
